These mount in-between the speaker flange and speaker enclosure/mounting area. There is 1/2" of acrylic exposed to the outside diameter between the mounting area and speaker flange once mounted. This ring is designed to emit light through the outside diameter of the speaker which provides a perimeter tower speaker lighting affect.
